Brookshill Ave is a semi-detached house under London Borough of Harrow. The existing property is a 2 bed house. The design brief was to do the, Single storey rear extension .The proposed design extends the kitchen and the living area at the rear of the ground floor by 3m along the entire width of the property to make more space for a larger kitchen and living area. The rear extension will be the full width of the original house and will be offset by 100mm from the shared wall with no. 3 Brookshill Ave. The proposed extension will accommodate an extended kitchen area as well as providing a ground floor bedroom that has wheelchair access for a senior member of the household. The roof remains the same as the existing and the proposed single storey rear extension will have a flat roof with enough gradient for easy drainage.
